SM1-PC

The passive crossover is a 4-WAY, 6 filter design with a woofer Zobel network.
12db/Octave Butterworth for all filters.
3% MKP Mylar Capacitors for accuracy over the life of the loudspeaker.
Custom wound air core inductors.

I designed the SM1-PC loudspeakers with performance in mind. Once I had the design ready which took a couple of years, I selected the drivers based on their specification required for the design.

The SM1-PC are a 4-way sealed cabinet design using 3/4" MDF for the housing and internal construction consisting of bracing and glued dado locked framing for structural rigidity and fiberglass filled fully damped cabinet.

The driver arrangement for each loudspeaker consist of three 12" woofers, two active and one passive which can be electrically attenuated and is electrically auto-damped avoiding unwanted resonances.
The lower mid-range consists of four 5" line array drivers.
The upper mid-range consists of two 5" line array drivers.
The high frequencies consist of one 1" soft dome tweeter.
